For novelists
The editorial letter, before the submission.
Your AI editor reads the whole manuscript and writes the report a publisher’s reader would: what’s working, the notes that matter most in order, and a plan for the next draft. Then you can ask it about any of them.
The whole book, in view
Up to 150,000 words, held in view for every note. A problem in chapter thirty can be traced back to its setup in chapter two, because nothing is summarized away first.
Notes you can act on
Each note says what the problem is, where it is, quotes the passage, says why it matters and gives a direction for fixing it. Directions, not rewrites: the book stays yours.
Revise, then check
Bring the notes from an earlier read, from Evalie or from anyone else, and your editor says what the new draft has fixed and what it hasn’t yet.
The report
What your editor covers, section by section.
Every report opens with the editor’s letter: the verdict, what’s working, the 3 to 5 notes that matter most in order, and a revision plan. Then a ratings grid, the sections below, and the numbers measured from your text.
Novel or prose fiction
- Overview and synopsis
- Story and structure
- Character
- Voice, prose and dialogue
- Pacing and chapter notes
- Market and submission
The verdict is calibrated the way the industry uses it: most drafts, including good ones, aren’t ready yet, and a specific, fixable “not yet” is the most useful thing a writer can get. You choose how the notes are delivered (encouraging, balanced or unvarnished); that changes the tone, never the verdict.

Tell your editor the draft stage too (first draft, revised draft or polished, ready to submit), and add notes of up to 4,000 characters: what you’re aiming for, what worries you, where it’s going.
